"A successful business requires good accounting. Period."
You didn't go into business with the idea that you'd have to be the bookkeeper, too. If you're like most small business people, you just figured you'd be making lots of bank deposits and writing some checks and, somehow, "the rest of the bookkeeping stuff would just take care of itself". Nope -- it doesn't work that way.
If you're trying to build a business and your future on it, you need good books and accurate information. Trouble is, its expensive to do your books in-house and the typical bookkeeper usually understand the mechanics of accounting, but not always the story behind the numbers or even the best way to get reports to tell you the story. There are 5 basic reports you should be getting every week to tell you how the business is doing.
You went into business to do what you enjoy and to make money at it -- plain and simple.
McCallister Consulting Group, Ltd. went into business in 2000 to help you make money using QuickBooks accounting software as our program of choice. You maintain control over the books and finances; we're in the background doing the daily accounting for you.
