Paul J McCallister, Principal  -- voted one of the 400 best small business accountants in the U.S.

Paul started his career in certified public accounting after graduating from Colorado State University in 1974. He's been the controller and chief financial officer for various companies over the years, and operated his own multi-location business before starting McCallister Consulting Group, Ltd. in 2000.  McCallister Consulting Group, Ltd. is located in Centennial, Colorado and services clients in Denver, Boulder and Colorado Springs, Colorado.  Paul is a “native resident of Colorado”, having grown up in Grand Junction then graduating with a BSBA from CSU in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Paul isn't just an accountant who knows bookkeeping -- he's a businessman who loves business.  As an entrepreneur who operated nutrisystem retail stores in Texas, Idaho and Washington states, he experienced first-hand the challenges of growing a business.  During many of the ten years Paul was with nutrisystem, it was the fastest growing franchise business in the country and faced heavy competition and government scrutiny into the diet industry’s advertising claims.  This was a tumultuous period filled with great success, growth, challenge and, at times, contraction.  Being a good accountant knowing his numbers was critical to managing the business; and Paul "connected the dots" between having good books and making good decisions.

In business, expansion and contraction happens every day.  Paul believes that small businesses underestimate the need for good bookkeeping, no matter what the industry.  So in 2000, he started his company and has been consulting companies in industries of finance, health and fitness, land development and home construction to name a few.  In all of these cases, Paul's choice of accounting software has been QuickBooks. Working with QuickBooks over the years, he's trained others in using the software to get information they need in time to manage the business with it.  Paul became a QuickBooks Certified Pro-Advisor in 2003.  He saw the power of QuickBooks for its reporting features and ease in getting started.  But he also sees how users often get frustrated with it because they didn’t set the software up the way they intended to in the first place, they didn’t know what reports they actually needed, or they just didn’t see that connection between the books and making more money.

“You really need to understand where you're at this moment, and then make plans and implement tracking tools to monitor your progress toward your company’s goals”, Paul says.  One of his favorite expressions is, "If you can't measure it, you can't manage it." So Paul looks to help his clients by taking the bookkeeping headaches off their shoulders so they can focus on relationships to make more money from customers, vendors and employees.

It’s really ALL about good relationships.

Adding to his own solid business background, Paul recently began working with business owners, Linnea and K.C. Truby, who’ve both achieved great success themselves in QuickBooks consulting and early adopters of technology.  Linnea has been a very successful QuickBooks consultant for the past 10 years, and has been consulting clients in the Encinitas, CA area since 2005. K.C. has been in business for 40 years, and has consulted the accounting industry for the past 27 years.  Joining the team now living on the beach in Lucadia, CA is their new infant son, Colton James Truby.   K.C. understands that most businesses fail to prosper because they work on the wrong problems each day.  It is his philosophy and Linnea and K.C.’s combined technology backgrounds that led them to develop 3 new services that will have a major impact on the success of any small business.  Paul is offering these services to his own clients because of his relationship with the Trubys.

·PAPERLESS: Delegation Magic, a paperless work-flow service that can easily cut the back office cost of any small company in just a few months by as much as 25% to 50%. Most firms invest around $200 to $400 a month on this complete business management system, all tied around document management, but the return on investment is far higher than the small monthly cost.

·
ACCOUNTING: Delegation Magic became the platform for operating a virtual business that allows a small business to convert fixed overhead to variable cost. So, if sales go down, then costs go down, too. The virtual office platform allows firms to outsource payroll, bookkeeping and almost every other back office function to a firm like McCallister Consulting Group, Ltd. Paul has taken over the bookkeeping responsibilities for small companies in Boulder, Colorado and Denver, Colorado. If you’re tired of getting late or unreliable information from your books, dealing with employee drama and related headaches or “going through” bookkeepers all the time just to find the one who understands what they’re doing, you should attend one of Linnea’ s next teleseminars (see below) to learn more about outsourcing.

·FRONT PAGE of Google: If you’re looking for more sales leads, this brand new technology service invented by Linnea and K.C Truby is going to amaze you and is like nothing you’ve heard of before!  They figured out how to find someone in your type of business who is located more than 50 miles away, and who already has a top-ranked web site.  They go to that business and arrange to "rent" the site, so any visitor in your area searching the Internet for your type of service will click on the rented web site that’s already on top of Google - but using IP technology, the prospect is in your area, and the entire site then changes to appear like your local business. This allows a small business to dominate their local market without spending thousands of dollars every month in SEO work.  This is an amazing new technology that you really must learn more about if you are looking for more sales leads.
